The New Kid on the Block

Hey everyone, my name is Ethan Knight, and I am the newest intern at KLA Public Relations! A little bit about myself: I am from Lexington, South Carolina and have been in Charleston for three and a half years. During my time in Charleston I have fallen in love with this city’s irresistible charm and found a passion for photography and storytelling through my camera lens!

My journey in Charleston started with my undergraduate career at the College of Charleston, where I began to study marketing. On campus I became involved in a student run consulting firm which was tasked with finding a way to increase the number of students who would attend the Business School’s annual basketball tailgate. This is where I learned firsthand the importance of how PR can work in a localized community. My team and I were able to double attendance from the year prior! Through my studies I found that I was constantly drawn to the world of media and how companies can get the word out about their projects on a local level while gathering a larger online presence.

While at KLAPR I would love to gain a greater understanding of how public relations works to shape the images of clients, and how companies can integrate corporate social responsibility within their social media strategy.

Recently I have been fascinated with learning how to use photoshop in the creation of stunning images (most recently a desire to create vintage national parks posters of local landmarks). When I am not in class I enjoy taking trips to both the beach and the mountains, antiquing, as well as being a grilled cheese enthusiast!
